Experienced Wait Staff NEEDED

Choji Yakiniku Pty Ltd t/as Choji Omakase

This is a full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable person. Opportunities are are also available for staff with sommelier experience and knowledge.

Location: Chatswood, NSW

Duties and Key Responsibilities:

- Setting up the venue and arranging the tables for each omakase service;
- Greet customers and take reservations or dietary requirements
- Present customers with the food and drinks menu
- Provide recommendations of drinks to complement each food after understanding the customer’s requirements
- Take orders and relay to back of house (kitchen and bar staff)
- Serve food and beverages including the opening and pouring of beverages
- Clear tables during service which includes collecting used dishes/cutlery and replacing with new dishes/cutlery for next course, refilling and replacing glasses, removing empty bottles from tables, refilling water for customers etc.
- Provide bill and collect payment from customer when required

Experience

Either:

- Holds at least AQF Certificate III in Hospitality (Restaurant Front of House) (or other equivalent qualification) and at least 12 months of relevant work experience post-completion of course; or
- At least 18 months of relevant work experience in Australia on a temporary visa; or
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in Japanese cuisine and/or omakase offerings preferred but not essential

Skills required:

- Attention to detail;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Reliable and motivated;
- Good team player;
- Communication Skills;
- Knowledge in OHS.

Annual salary package: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum plus superannuation

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Every weekend
- Public holidays

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chatswood, NSW 2067: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 2 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
