**Your opportunity**:
As a **Governance Specialist**, you will be responsible for providing information security policy and risk governance services to various projects and routine business operations across TPG Telecom. You will work with policy owners, risk owners, and projects, assisting them by performing threat and risk assessments on the various solutions being built.
If you come from another industry and you’ve never worked in Security before then we are still interested. We will complement your existing knowledge of compliance, quality, or risk by providing specialist security training.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work with stakeholders to identify relevant security policy requirements, helping TPG to avoid threats to the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of our systems.
- Support TPG Telecom’s cybersecurity risk management and governance, ensuring risks are effectively documented, monitored and managed by the relevant risk owners.
- Perform compliance assessments of projects and stories ensuring we build secure by design systems that are compliant to our policy set, Security strategy and legislations.
- Work closely with our compliance and enterprise risk team, ensuring our cybersecurity risk management and policy framework complies with TPG Telecom’s regulatory requirements.
- Promote security awareness and be an advocate for policy.
- Coordinate and support the management and cyclical review of TPG Telecom’s cybersecurity policy framework.
- Provide governance support for TPG Telecom’s cybersecurity risk profile.
- Review exception requests and risk remediation plans for accuracy and risk impact.
- Write risk reports for our internal compliance and stakeholder reporting.
**What you’ll bring**:
- Previous security or telecommunication experience is not a prerequisite for this role but is favoured.
- Previous experience in the roles listed below is desired:
- Quality Assurance, Coordinator, Officer, Specialist, or Manager
- Risk and Compliance Officer, Specialist, or Manager
- Policy Officer
- Cyber Security Consultant
