**Introduction**

With over 20 years history of innovation and growth, Queensland Thermo King is a progressive market leader in the manufacturing, repair and maintenance of transport refrigeration. Currently employing 120 people, they operate from a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility in Darra, with branch offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.

**Position**

An opportunity has become available for a permanent full-time HR Advisor to partner with management to optimise the effectiveness of human resource systems and drive change that will enhance productivity and employee experience.

We are seeking a highly collaborative and consultative approach to:

- Provide tactical and strategic HR advice and assistance to COO, managers and leaders with regard employment legislation, innovative talent acquisition strategies, performance review, performance management and disciplinary processes, capability development, remuneration, policy interpretation and best practice HR solutions across the employment lifecycle.
- Implement and co-ordinate employee engagement planning initiatives including surveys and other opportunities to collect feedback that will support continued improvement and employee satisfaction, retention and productivity.
- Identify and promote learning and development opportunities to increase skills, productivity and performance across the organisation (in collaboration with Technical Trainer and other stakeholders).
- Identify and present opportunities for innovative approaches to enhance HRM systems, workplace culture and employer branding (including managing approved projects from concept to implementation).
- Support annual workforce planning initiatives including skill and labour forecasting, succession planning and contingency planning.
- Undertake associated administration including employment contracts and employee recordkeeping.

**Skills and Experience**

We are seeking your knowledge and experience in an aligned role providing HR best practice advice to leaders, together with:

- Diploma (or higher) level qualification in Human Resource Management
- _Operational experience within transport or HVAC industries advantageous but not essential_
- Knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and industrial relations
- Experience taking HR initiatives from concept to development and implementation
- Consultative, collaborative and confidential communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to develop positive working relationships and influence outcomes
- Confidence learning, using and navigating technology, including HRM systems
- Well developed organisation and time management skills with strong attention to detail

- Hybrid work options available up to a maximum of two days/week work from home (due to the nature of the role, this does require a flexible approach as there are tasks that may be required at short notice that can only be performed in-office)
