**About the role**:
We are currently looking for a team of reliable and dedicated Support Workers to support our clients in Grafton. Office hours shifts and weekdays.
We want to provide a safe & loving environment. We are looking for a range of youth workers with a background in first aid mental health, and/or disability support. As an integral part of our team, you'll be encouraged to utilise your passion and skills to support our clients to grow, develop, heal and feel empowered. If you want to make a difference in the lives of our most vulnerable clients, this is the job for you.
**About You**:
- Preferred experience in mental health.
**Skills Required**:
- High level of administrative skills.
- Experience in suicide prevention.
- Mental health first aid certification.
**Essential requirements**:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Employee - Working with Children’s Check
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks
- A valid Australian driver’s license with a reliable and comprehensively insured car
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- A current certification in Trauma Informed Care (desirable)
- Youth Mental Health First Aid (Highly desirable)
**Responsibilities**:
Document Management:
- All required documents must be added to the NH internal system.
- Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements
Referrals:
- Handle referrals from Primary Health Networks (PHNs).
- Respond to referrals within 24 hours.
- Review and act on discharge summaries received.
- Make contact with clients based on discharge summaries.
Client Support:
- Conduct risk assessments and develop safety plans.
- Provide weekly support, including working with risk assessments and safety planning.
- Link clients with appropriate services.
- Must demonstrate empathy and adaptability

**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $40.00 - $80.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
