Recruitment is underway for Emergency Physicians to operate a brand new Short Stay Unit with capacity for 24 beds
As a major public hospital servicing the community of the West, we have an exciting growth strategy which will lay the foundation for future growth. Our purpose-built Short Stay Unit is the first stage in our expanding Emergency Department with plans to complete a new two-storey facility by 2027.
The Werribee Mercy Hospital, Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit provides care to over 50,000 patients annually. Our community is culturally diverse with one in two families, include a member born overseas.
You will be working alongside different specialties in multiple departments to provide the best outcome for patients.

- Mental Health Services (including Mother Baby Unit)

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing Western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, paediatrics, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. The hospital has undergone significant service expansion including Hospital in the Home/Hospital Care at Home programs, a new intensive care unit, additional operating theatres and the opening of two new wards, taking the total number of beds to 298.
