**About the role**:
As the control room specialist, you will develop and maintain sortation plans that optimise the performance of the depot operations. You will actively contribute to the effective management of the operation, ensuring that performance objectives are met or exceeded whilst ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Review and optimise sortation procedures
- Manage relationships with employees and stakeholders that encourages involvement from all
- Minimise damage to freight handled during operations
- Identify and act upon any opportunities for cost reduction
- Complete accurate and timely reporting
- Identify risks and opportunities within key processes & share findings with key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ legislation, dangerous goods legislation, operational procedures and Company policies
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, procedures and systems
- Ensure a high level of customer service is provided to all internal and external clients

**Experience required**:

- Three years relevant experience in an operations environment
- Knowledge of optimisation processes
- Knowledge of the business levers, processes, structures and finance
- Good knowledge of Operations processes and related technology
- Proven track record of continuous improvement
- Ability to realise concepts in a can-do mentality;
- Understands communication requirements in a multi-cultural environment.
- Proven experience and knowledge in effective training, coaching and people management practices, including leadership development
- Professional certification or equivalent level of experience
