
Learning & Development Manager

A full time, permanent opportunity has become available in our Bupa Health Services team. This is a hybrid role and will be based out of our Melbourne office location when not working from home.
As the Learning & Development Manager you will be responsible for leading Bupa’s learning strategy within our Bupa government contracts and fostering a culture of continuous growth and development. You will design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs, while driving employee performance, engagement and professional advancement.
This is a key role to ensure Bupa is loved by customers and that employees love working at Bupa.
**How will I help?
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute a strategic learning and development roadmap aligned with organisational goals and individual employee development needs across both government contracts.
- Analyse training needs through collaboration and create engaging and innovate learning experiences, including workshops, e-learning modules, webinars, coaching sessions and other training materials.
- Design, develop, and update training content, materials, and resources that cater to various learning styles and levels of expertise.
- Oversee the learning management system to track, analyse and report on training effectiveness and employee progress and stay current with learning technologies and tools, recommending and implementing solutions that enhance the learning experience and optimise training delivery.
- Partner with People team and leadership to identify high-potential employees and design development plans for their career growth and support succession planning efforts by identifying and nurturing internal talent to fill critical roles.
- Establish metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of training programs on employee performance, engagement and overall organisational goal and regularly assess the effectiveness of training initiatives through surveys, evaluations, and data analysis, to make data-driven improvements.
- Lead and mentor Learning and Development Specialist and foster a collaborate and innovative learning culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure strong and seamless relationships by maintaining communications and stakeholder engagement about the program design and delivery, including measurement of impact.

**What do I need?**
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education or a related field.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is advantageous.
- 3+ years’ experience in designing, developing, and delivering effective learning and development programs.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and emerging learning technologies.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
