**About the role**

To support continued business growth, our client is seeking a bookkeeper to hit the ground running in this highly autonomous role. You will be joining a tight-knit and cohesive team that work together efficiently to achieve business outcomes.

Using your well-honed bookkeeping experience and initiative, you will be responsible for ensuring the accounts and on-going finance related activities are maintained for the business.

In this full-time Monday to Friday role, you will be working closely with the director in your own office at their brand-new site located in Melbourne’s South Eastern Suburbs.

**Duties**
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Accounts receivable and payable duties
- Issuing of purchase orders and processing of payments to sub-contractors
- Inventory control of
- Maintaining accurate ledgers and records
- Payroll duties
- Finance related administration tasks
- Maintain excellent rapport with clients and contractors
- Other duties as required

**About You**
- 5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping
- Previous experience liaising with and handling sub-contractor accounts
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Demonstrated people skill and telephone demeanour
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- High degree of attention to detail and care
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping highly regarded
- Previous experience in Xero highly regarded
- Competent Microsoft Office 365 skill
- Recent Police Check
