We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following **Short-term Contract** position for Term 4 of 2024, with the possibility of the position continuing in 2025.
**Part-time: Middle School Science Teacher (0.6 FTE)**
We are looking for an outstanding and inspiring Science Teacher who is passionate about Science and will inspire students with a love for scientific inquiry and critical thinking while nurturing their faith and values.
The successful applicant will have:
- Have relevant qualifications and experience, be approachable, and relate well to students, parents and fellow staff members.
- Experience in writing and implementing curriculum.
- A passion for teaching Science to Secondary School students in an engaging and relevant way.
**Essential Knowledge and Experience**:
You will have:
- An active Christian faith.
- You are passionate about living out your Christian faith, and you are prepared to model, uphold and support the Ethos and Core Values of the College.
- You are deeply relational, friendly and open.
- You have developed a variety of teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of all the students that you teach.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills including team-building and mentoring skills.
- You are prepared to go the extra mile to ensure that your students are always well provided for.
- You are committed to supporting College policies and procedures relating to Classroom and Behaviour Management.
- You have an understanding of technology and are able to confidently integrate this into your teaching.
- You have a thorough knowledge and experience in teaching Science (Years 7 - 10), with a familiarity with the Western Australian Curriculum and STEM/STEAM pedagogies.
**Qualifications**:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience related to the teaching responsibility required by the position.
- Current Western Australia Australian Teachers Registration Board Certificate of Registration (TRBWA).
- Current Working With Children Card.
- Current Police Clearance.
