**ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Mercy Hospitals Victoria Ltd Learning Team is committed to providing quality education by promoting excellence in professional practice through empowering Nurses and Midwives in the public health sector. This education role for the Women’s and Children’s Programs plays an integral role in leading and influencing quality education and professional development to build our future workforce.
- Permanent full time position, Grade 5 Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education: Women’s and Children’s
- Key leadership position working across Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg and Werribee Mercy Hospital
- Expert clinical advisor for educational strategies related to Women’s and Children’s
- Develop and implement educational strategies for maternity, paediatric and neonatal education programs
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education and the eduction team to support clinical staff education and training (Undergraduate, Graduate and Post Graduate)

- Current Nursing/Midwifery registration with AHPRA
- Post registration qualification in education required
- Experience in leadership and management including the ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team
- Advanced skills in educational design and implementation
- Knowledge of contemporary nursing and midwifery workforce challenges and practices
