**The opportunity**
- We are looking for a **Water Management Technician** to join our site-based team on **8 days on 6 days off** roster from Perth. Reporting to the Supervisor Site Services, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations involved in sourcing and delivering water across the site.**To be successful in the role, the following is essential**:

- A Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification.
- Qualification in Poly Welding and Electro-Fusion.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining bore, dewatering, submersible, and related equipment in mining NPI (Non-Processing Infrastructure) or a heavy industry environment within mining or water operations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with demonstrated experience in bore removal and replacement.
- Minimum Dogman’s Ticket.
- Hold a WA HR Driver’s Licence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using CMMS (e.g. SAP) for daily work management and procurement.
- Current National Police Clearance.

**Key Duties **(but not limited to):
- Operate and maintain bore fields and pit dewatering systems, including diesel and electric equipment and associated pipelines.
- Manage water transfer systems for potable and low-quality water, including treatment plant operations.
- Handle daily maintenance and operations of the wastewater treatment plant.
- Support the maintenance team in executing key tasks as needed.
- Execute poly welding and electro-fusion operations as part of pipeline and equipment maintenance.
- Conduct daily refueling and inspection of pipelines and equipment.
- Document maintenance activities and updates in the company's CMS.
- Adhere to KML’s work management, safety protocols, and business processes.

**About KML**

Located 200 km south-east of Geraldton in the Shire of Perenjori, Western Australia Karara has an expected mine life of 30+ years. The operation includes a large open pit mine, complex ore processing and beneficiation plant and significant infrastructure and logistics networks. As part of the logistics network Karara owns and operates 80km of railway between Tilley Junction and the Karara mine site, linking the Karara Export Terminal at the Port of Geraldton, able to handle up to 16 Mtpa of export product from a dedicated berth, with associated rail and train unloading infrastructure.
