**Position Description**:
**Key Accountabilities**:
As we continue to grow our operations, there is an exciting opportunity to join the Hazelmere team as a Water Treatment Technician. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of temporary water treatment equipment (plants, pumps, pipework and systems).
- Identify, report and resolve service outcomes on site
- Fault finding and treatment of ground water
- Analysis and adjustment to ground water quality at discharge
- Process monitoring and optimisation
- Maintenance of industrial water treatment systems
- Collection and laboratory analysis of water samples
- Providing breakdown service and repairs to water treatment equipment and plants
- Maintain quality records, reports and compliance documentation including use of a computerised maintenance management system
- Responding to and rectifying alarms generated by SCADA or through the customer portal

**Skills/ Selection Criteria (qualifications & experience)**:
**Essential**
- Current Drivers Licence
- Construction Induction (or willing to obtain)
- Knowledge of water treatment within a water and chemical environment and discharge criteria in Western Australia
- Knowledge of water sampling and lab procedures
- Experience with acid sulphate soils and its impact to ground water
- Experience in the maintenance of valves, pumps (centrifugal and diaphragm), pipelines, and other electrical/mechanical equipment
- Experience ensuring construction or mining sites are compliant with their site discharge water
- Sound understanding of P&ID’s and shop drawings and an ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

**Desirable**
- Experience in the Mining, Construction or Heavy Industries
- Plumbing/fitting/mechanical/electrical background would be advantageous
- Understanding of how to operate a plant using PLC and HMI
- Relevant Qualification in Water Industry/Treatment Operations
- Dangerous Goods Licence
- HR Licence
- Working at heights
