Early Childhood Education Group Leader Kensington Castle Early Education Centre Milroy Avenue

Responsible to Centre Director

Staff Reporting to this position: Teachers, Diploma trained and Certificate III educators. Support works and administration staff

Qualifications: Skill Level 2: AQF Associate Degree, Advanced **Diploma, Diploma, or at least three years of relevant experience**

Other requirements:

- First Aid
- WWCC
- Approved child protection certificate
- Use childcare management software

As group leader, you will be responsible for the below tasks including:
**Main tasks**
- Leads a team of educators working with a group of children
- Works in partnership with families, staff, community members and external agencies to promote the development, education, care and wellbeing of children
- Promotes the safety and wellbeing of children
- Supports educators providing education, care and supervision for babies, toddlers and young children
- Complies with, and supports other educators to comply with, service policies and national and/or state-based legislation
- Supports the day-to-day operation of the service
- Maintains records of each child's learning, wellbeing, development, participation, and progress, and communicates this with families

Other tasks as directed by the approved provider.

You must be organised and possess excellent time management skills and be able to assist and support a collaborative work environment, have a sound knowledge & understanding of the NSW Education and Care Services National Regulations, National Quality Framework, The Early Years Framework and other legislation applicable to the profession.

KCEEC is based in Kensington and there is plenty of parking available and serviced by good public transport.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $73,150.00 - $80,000.00 per year

- 8 hour shift
