**Job Description**:
This is a new position to support our growing team in Adelaide and will allow you to operate across a multi-functional business, working alongside Project Managers, Engineers, Designers and Digital Engineering specialists to deliver some of our major projects.

As a Cadet Drafter you will work as part of a team to assist with delivery of the Adelaide Resources, Industrial & Energy team design projects covering major mining infrastructure, mid-stream Oil & Gas and fuel systems including future fuels such as hydrogen as well as across the energy market including renewables, transmission & distribution & generation. This role is a developmental role where you will grow your skill base and acquire a more specialised understanding of drafting and design concepts and processes using AutoCAD and other software packages.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ability to work as part of a highly motivated team;
- Positive attitude and good communication skills;
- Problem solving skills;
- Interest in gaining electrical & mechanical design knowledge through on the job experience;
- Producing designs and associated mechanical and electrical engineering drawings not limited to;
- Isometric drawings
- Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s)
- 3D structural, mechanical and piping models
- Single Line Diagrams / Protection Control Diagrams
- Schematics
- Equipment Layouts and sections
- Wiring & Control Diagrams
- Cable Schedules
- Develop high quality models, drawings and checking skills;
- Liaison with designers and project team engineers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs;
- Work with lead designer to assist with aligning design standards and processes with the rest of the Energy business line.

**Qualifications**:

- Enrolled or eligible to enrol in an Associate Degree of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar Associate Degree / Advanced Diploma)
