**Description**:
**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
As a Laundry Assistant, you will ensure laundry and linen services are of a high standard and quality for our residents. You must have the ability to safely engage in manual labour tasks and heavy lifting when required.
**Responsibilities include**:

- Collecting, washing, folding, ironing, labelling, and returning resident's personal clothing on a daily basis.
- Maintaining a high standard of personal and operational hygiene at all times.
- Identifying and reporting any equipment/operational failure issues.
- Ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with infection control and WHS requirements.

**Skills and Experiences**:
**KEY ROLE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Rights to work in Australia
- National Police Clearance
- Covid 19 Vaccinations (highly desirable)
- Ability to move and lift heavy loads, conduct physical/hands-on work and repetitive movements of the body
- Demonstrated knowledge of fire and safety processes and manual handling guidelines
- Ability to operate in a team environment.
