**Job Description**:
Join TAL as an Actuary, working within our Data and Regulatory Reporting team, who are part of our finance business unit. Working flexibly from our Sydney 2000 office, you will deliver valuable data insights whilst meeting requirements of various regulatory data submissions.

In this role you will:

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs in order to develop a centralised data operating model for regulatory reporting
- Oversee and review outputs of various regulatory data submissions to CALI/KPMG, APRA, ASIC, LCCC, ATO or other peer Government agencies to ensure these meet regulatory expectations
- Be accountable for various regulatory data submissions including reviewing and interrogating data, reconciling data against existing internal or external reporting, and providing senior stakeholders assurance of the data outputs
- Treat data as a strategic asset and leverage data effectively to produce and communicate insights to senior stakeholders
- Lead process improvement initiatives including automation of data production processes and development of automated data interrogation tools
- Meet ad-hoc data requests from other business units and provide support as needed

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Minimum 5 years' experience working in an actuarial or related role
- Deep understanding of regulatory landscape and topical issues within the Life Insurance industry
- Experience in leading or preparing regulatory data submissions
- A demonstrated track record of effectively communicating technical concepts and insights to senior stakeholders
- A passion for continuous process improvement to drive automation and efficiencies
- Strong Excel and SQL skills
- Tableau/Power BI and R/Python skills desired
