Plant Operator

Primarily as Plant operator at a Tegra Quarry site, however other duties include:

- servicing customer
needs, work in a safe manner, cleaning and maintaining plant and equipment, maintain a clean
presentable workplace, any other duties as directed and to work and co-operate as a productive team
member of the Tegra group.

**_Hands on Duties Include but are not limited to:

- **
- Follow directions of the Quarry Manager, attend to customer needs;
- Operate quarry mobile plant - front end loader, excavator, dump truck, hard rock crusher,

reclaimer/screen, water cart;
- Complete daily Prestart, report faults/servicing requirements, fuel entries in Prestart app;
- Ensure plant and equipment you are operating are maintained to company policy and

procedures, kept clean and presentable;
- Report all plant/equipment faults/servicing requirements to the Quarry Manager and enter in the

Prestart app;
- Attend to plant and equipment repairs, faults and sevicing within trade qualifications and/or

capabilities;
- Housekeeping duties such as maintaining a clean and presentable workplace, workshop and

amenities;
**_Clerical Duties Include:

- **
- Ensure the correct entries are made on quarry load dockets and are signed by the receiving

truck driver;
- Ensure customers correctly sign for and receive delivery dockets and/or invoices, return C.O.D

monies collected to the Quarry Manager;
- Receive payments from customers and pass these onto the Quarry Manager;
- Complete and submit to the Quarry Manager, Delivery dockets, daily production documentation

as required, WHS documentation, timesheets etc;

- **
- Commit to always providing the highest level of customer service;
- Ensure at all times you are appropriately dressed and presented in accordance with company

policy and procedure;
- Conduct yourself in a proper and professional manner in accordance with company policy and

procedure;
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with company WHS policy and procedures;
- Attend training seminars or courses as required;
- Complete in-house induction and training;

**_Qualifications:

- **
- Hold a current Drivers Licence;
- Have General Induction White Card;
- Competency for load shifting operations;
- Forklift operator’s licence preferable;
- Experience in quarrying operations advantageous;

**_Reporting:

- **
- Report directly to the ‘Quarry Manager’ or in his absence to senior management;
- Liaise with the ‘Fleet Manager’ with regard to servicing, maintenance and breakdown of plant

and equipment.
