The Peer Concierge role is a key position in
the HiQ service model that provides peer-to
- peer service to QUT students. You will be the
first point of contact for enquiries through
services. Additionally, as a Peer Concierge
you may have the opportunity to engage in
QUT wide events including Orientation and
Graduation Ceremonies.

As a Peer Concierge you will help clients
navigate the services and facilities available at
QUT. You will be trained in QUT services and
will draw on your own experience as a QUT
student to help and advise other prospective
and current students.

As a member of the team you will participate in
the continual improvement and refinement of
student information and processes.

This position reports to the Senior Adviser for
supervision, workload management and for
Performance Planning and Review (PPR).

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Greet clients seeking service in a friendly

proactive and encouraging manner.
- Assist clients with guided use of self-help

resources.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of

QUT self-service systems and information
- Assist with the facilitation of student events

in the HiQ including information sessions
and tours.
- Contribute to the improvement of HiQ

procedures and systems through providing
feedback and input.
- Understand the rules of ethical conduct

related to student data and information and
abide by those rules.
- Participate in training and development

activities.
- Compliance with health and safety policies,

procedures, hazard reporting and safe work
practices.

To ensure job flexibility the successful
- appointee may be required to:
- perform any other duties as nominated by

the University consistent with the relevant
classification descriptors detailed in the
Enterprise Agreement. Staff undertaking
any new duties will receive training;
- participate in job rotation or multiskilling in

consultation with their supervisor;
- work across campuses

**Type of appointment**
This appointment will be offered on a casual
basis.

**Location**
Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses.

Selection Criteria
1. A currently enrolled undergraduate or

postgraduate QUT student who has a GPA
of 4 or above and has completed at least
one semester of study at QUT.

2. Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced
customer service role.

3. Demonstrated effective verbal and written
communication skills and the ability to
engage with a diverse range of clients and
enquiries.

4. High level of digital literacy including the
ability to navigate multiple complex
information systems.

5. Demonstrated ability to contribute to a
positive team culture that aligns with the
QUT Values.

**Remuneration and Benefits**
- The classification for this position is Higher
- Education Worker Level 3 (HEW3) which has a
- casual hourly rate range of $37.60 to $41.82
- per hour (inclusive of 25% casual loading and
- 10% superannuation).

- To be considered for a HiQ Peer Concierge
- position, you will be expected to maintain the
- following during your employment:
- Be a currently enrolled QUT student and
- intending to enrol for the next semester;- Meet a GPA of at least 5;
- Have completed at least one semester of

evenings and weekends when required.
