**Support GEO Healthcare to provide Primary Healthcare Services to public prisons across Victoria**

**Lead the AOD Network in the delivery of best practice AOD medical support and AOD harm reduction and health programs.**

**About the role**

Joining GEO Healthcare, the Manager, Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) Health Services is a key member of the Clinical Services Team and will support GEO Healthcare’s delivery of Primary Healthcare Services to men’s public prisons in Victoria.

Based at GEO Healthcare’s Head Office, located in Melbourne’s CBD, you will report to the Director, Clinical Services with the role responsible for leading the AOD Network in the delivery of best practice AOD medical support and AOD harm reduction and health programs. You will ensure AOD health service continuity at all GEO Healthcare locations as well as program integrity, quality assurance and continuous improvement of AOD Health Services.

You may be required to, at times, attend any of the 13 GEO Healthcare locations and The GEO Group Australia Pty Ltd Head Office in Sydney NSW as required.

By successfully contributing the transition of provider and continuing to deliver and exceed the role’s key accountabilities, you will actively support a service that will achieve positive healthcare outcomes for people in prison which is a key element in reducing recidivism across the prison system.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Relevant tertiary health qualification such as Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or Nursing; and extensive experience in the AOD health and/or program sectors.
- Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency in Psychology or Nursing or professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers or Australian Counselling Organisation is desirable.
- Extensive experience in the delivery of AOD health services in the primary health or mental health sectors, including leadership roles with service system oversight.
- Experience in leadership roles that included a focus on risk assessment and management, implementation of quality assurance systems and continuous improvement processes, management of key performance indicators and high-level service coordination.
- Experience building effective service delivery teams and networks, community partnerships and stakeholder relationships.
- Experience developing high performance teams to meet Key Performance Measures.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyse service data and produce high level internal and stakeholder reports.
- Proven ability to organise and prioritise effectively.
- Solid communication, teamwork and people skills, to ensure relationships are established and maintained with relevant staff and stakeholders to support high quality services and professional practice.
- Appropriate understanding and skills in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and willingness to promote cultural awareness.
- Demonstrated commitment to GEO Healthcare values.

**Desirable**
- Experience in a complex, multi-site health service business.

**Other Requirements of the role**:

- Ability to work within a correctional setting.
- Valid and current full Australian driver’s licence.
- Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Working outside of ordinary hours may be required.
