Talent International is searching for experienced Data Delivery Lead to join our client in the banking industry. This is a 6-month contract position based in Brisbane.

**About the Role**:
The Data Delivery Lead is responsible for managing the delivery of one or more initiatives impacting the data and analytics platforms, in line with agreed priorities, scope, time and budget.

This position has responsibility for the delivery of assigned data scope within one or more projects that support the wider organisational initiatives from a data delivery perspective.

The role supports (in a matrix reporting structure) a team of Data professionals to drive the Data Management and delivery function forward. Working to continuously lift performance levels of Data Delivery through participation in development activities and knowledge sharing with the wider delivery team. This role encourages the build of high engagement levels within their teams.

The role supports a scalable, optimised capability that simplifies and takes a group led approach to drive effective delivery of data and analytics services. These services will provide a source of competitive advantage and differentiated customer value.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for delivery of the Data program of work, including strategic Data projects and supporting the wider organisational initiatives from a data delivery perspective
- Ensure that the project context and project outcomes are clear, and required key stakeholders' interactions and milestones are linked to the overall strategic context
- Supports delivery and testing teams to ensure timely and accurate customer deliverables
- Supports efficient delivery processes focussed on continuous improvement and agile practices to deliver the best business outcome
- Supports Planning and Program Increments (PI) objectives at a Data Team level
- Maintains related project management artefacts for assigned project activities
- Keeps abreast of new and emerging technologies with the objective of utilising the most effective technology to meet a business need
- Advocates that technical solutions are developed using the principles of industry best practices, architecture, governance and design standards
- Monitors projects and data delivery budgets for allocated initiatives
- Monitors and ensures accurate team project billing / time sheeting for allocated project resources
- Builds relationships with strategic vendors and partners to enable a flexible delivery model
- Builds stakeholder relationships to ensure buy in and commitment to the data assurance process and delivery model
- Monitor, consult, and support the use and alignment of program/project to Project Management policies, assurance processes, methodologies, deliverables, guidelines, and standards throughout program/project lifecycles
- Monitors the mitigation and resolution of project risks and issues. Escalate key project risks and issues to senior management, if required
- Day to day management of project data delivery teams to drive team spirit and capability development of team members and the Test & Release Team, supported by capability leaders
- Supports the uplift of performance levels of the delivery teams through leadership in order to drive a greater value proposition for the organisation and high engagement levels for the team

**Skills and Experience Required**:

- 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
- 3+ years of experience as a project manager level within a large corporate organisation
- Project Management or Technical Project delivery experience
- Experience working in enterprise data platforms (Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, Data Engineering, Data Governance and Quality, Analytics or BI)
- Strong understanding and practical experience in end-end data delivery, including release and test management
- Experience working with third party vendors, and developing lasting relationships to ensure success
- Advanced knowledge of a discipline and/or broad knowledge of a function
- Outstanding verbal, written and presentation skills with an ability to communicate in both technical and business language
- The ability to cut-through complexity, and an ability to think creatively at both a strategic and tactical level
- Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity
- Knowledge in Agile environment or working with Agile teams/release trains
