**About The role**
Our Sydney Distribution Centre (DC) is the home to several specialist businesses, taking advantage of grouped logistics, repair and maintenance functions. In the DC, we have our Access, Earthmoving & Site Service, Traffic and Pump & Power specialist businesses.

The DC is designed to provide a service to the customers and support the branch network with a range of large and specialist equipment, product and solutions with increased convenience, improved utilisation and productivity.

As the Yard Hand, you support the operations of the DC through performing general yard duties, including equipment cleaning, equipment picking and checking for Ready For Hire prior to loading. This includes;
- Provide exceptional customer service at all times
- Assist customers in the yard when necessary.
- Meet and greet customers in a proactive and friendly manner during loading/unloading
- Perform branch facilities cleaning and maintenance as required
- Perform equipment ‘check in’ and ‘check out’ inspections and processes
- Perform equipment cleaning as required and directed
- Equipment picking (in yard), collating and checking for Ready For Hire status
- Perform equipment loading/unloading under supervision

**About you**
- You enjoy being hands on and have an interest in mechanics and construction equipment.
- Strong customer service and team player, you enjoy helping others.
- A forklift ticket is preferred however you have the opportunity of obtaining one with us as well any other tickets required for the role
- A level of physical fitness as required to complete role requirements
- Strong communication & time management skills
