We have an opportunity for an Associate to join our Strategic Business Services (SBS) team. The Strategic Business Services team assists our customers in financial difficulty, determines and implements customer specific turnaround and recovery strategies and minimises the risk of loss to NAB.

**The role**

You will support the Associate Directors and Senior Associates within SBS to manage Business & Private Banking customers in financial difficulty and those that have moved outside standard credit appetite through monitoring, refinancing, legal or the insolvency appointment process.

The role involves consulting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including customers, bankers, and legal advisors. It will provide you with exposure and experience across a broad range of industries in Business and Private Banking.

**The role and Day to day will include**
- Assist with the management of customer exposures in accordance with NAB policy and procedures including:

- Setup and ongoing maintenance of customer files under SBS management
- Assistance with drafting and executing file management strategies (including financial analysis and risk assessment)
- Undertaking provision for loss assessments
- Gathering and capturing Loss Given Default data
- Contribution to initiatives to improve customer and team experiences.
- Engagement with specialists and bankers to support the needs of customers.

To be successful in the role, you will have strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer & compliance focus.

**What you will bring**
- General understanding of banking principles and obligations
- Tertiary qualified with a Degree in Business or related discipline preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience working in financial services or financial services consulting preferred.
- Ability to interact, influence and work with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage workflow and prioritise effectively.
- Sound problem solving, written and communication skills.
- Proactive attitude.
