Machine Operators

Chandler Macleod is seeking Production Operators to join the team on a full-time permanent basis for our client in Scoresby. As a leading manufacturer within the Food/Confectionary industry in Melbourne's South Eastern suburbs, this position will not only be fulfilling but also comes with a range of delicious benefits too sweet to pass.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The production operator is responsible for cooking the entire range of products. It ensures the quality and supply of product is not compromised in any way.

They may also be designated according to the type of confectionery produced.
- Operates Confectionery equipment
- Mixes and/or cooks confectionery raw materials and/or ingredients in accordance with product recipes.
- Ensures daily production schedule and targets are met to meet deadlines
- Ensures all required production reports and documentation is completed correctly and on time.
- Monitor quality of work standards and ensure SOPs and work procedures are folloed at all times
- Check clean and maintain cleanliness of confectionery equipment and machinery in line with HACCP rules
- Use lifting devices where necessary for bulk movements
- Report any food safety, quality issues or safety issues to Production Manager or nominated person.
- Starting times may vary depending on production Monday to Friday 6AM-2PM

KEY COMPENTENCIES:

- English (Reading and writing) proficiency to YEAR 10 or equivalent
- Safe and competent operation of light mechanical equipment
- Be prepared to undertake any relevant training as required
- Good communication skills
- Ability to achieve objectives within a timetable
- Ability to take instruction and work under supervision
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of the team to deliver required outcomes
- Strong customer service focus and work ethic
- Team player with a flexible can-do attitude
