Purchasing Officer

**About the role**

We are currently seeking a Purchasing Officer based out of our site in Kilsyth.

Your role will be responsible for purchasing of corporate expense items and materials, consumables, and non-inventory items for the Kilsyth site to deliver excellence in product and services availability to our staff & customers in the most cost-effective manner.

You will liaise with multiple internal departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of any assigned projects and pro-actively monitor and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the data for all stocked items.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain professional and effective working relationships with key stakeholders, customers and suppliers.
- Ensure timely supply of Kilsyth site components and material as required by the production plan.
- Identify and escalate potential supplier delays and any potential stock-outs to the business to ensure customers (internal & External) expectations are managed.
- Manage the purchasing and replenishment of materials using planning/ERP model.
- Work and provide quick responses to problems relating to services, components, or consumable supplies

**Skills & Experience**:

- Demonstrated experience in complex manufacturing supply chain environment is preferable
- Demonstrated experience in purchasing
- Numerical and Excel skills to utilise data and enable data-driven insights
- Highly proficient understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to seek for improvements and drive process enhancement
