Our opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Valuation Manager to join our Sydney Team.

The Valuation Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all internal and external valuations across the commercial, retail, industrial and build to rent asset classes. This role is responsible for providing valuation services to a range of internal clients and providing a consistent approach, having regard to governance and compliance across the funds

**Your responsibilities are but not limited to**:
Ensuring a consistent service agreement in place with all valuation firms
Tendering and selecting the valuer for each asset ensuring compliance around appointment (frequency and / or appropriate expertise)
Formal instruction of the valuers
Ensuring compliance with the relevant fund’s valuation policy (having regard to frequency of external valuations and percentage of portfolio required to be assessed)
Formally requesting preparation of data packs from internal teams and ensuring consistency across data being received and issued to external valuer.
Managing the relationship and framework to ensure delivery of valuation for the externally managed assets
Managing the timetable and deliverables required for an internal / desktop valuation process to be undertaken
Analysis of all draft valuation metrics, methodology and outcomes (including managing any commentary from asset teams), ensuring a consistent review is undertaken across the wider portfolio.
Finalise draft numbers with asset teams and valuers and communicate this, outlining major changes to previous quarter to the Fund Team
Contribute to Valuation Committee papers which highlights all valuations and movements for each fund for each reporting period and distribute final Valuation Committee papers
Finalise the valuation, including receipt of final valuation report (noting the draft reviewed prior)
Inclusion in House View, acquisition and divestment, and general valuation advice across asset and fund teams
Periodically review valuation policies to ensure they are appropriate
