**Brisbane Private Hospital - Theatre Bookings Coordinator /Nurse** - **Permanent Full Time Position - Monday to Friday**: - **Brisbane Private Hospital Location - Subsidised Parking**: - **$40.38 - $51.55/hr plus super** An exciting new opportunity is available for a motivated and outcome focused nurse to join our Theatre Bookings team in a permanent, full time position at Brisbane Private Hospital. As a Theatre Bookings Coordinator /Nurse, you will be responsible for the booking of elective and emergency surgical and medical patients into the hospital. The Theatre Bookings coordinator/ Nurse works in close liaison with Visiting Medical Officers, their consulting rooms/practice managers, theatre manager and administration staff. You will report to the Perioperative Services Manager and work closely with a friendly, professional team. **About the role**: As a Theatre Bookings coordinator/ Nurse your responsibilities will include: - Liaise with Visiting Medical Officers, their consulting rooms and Practice Managers when elective surgery lists require alternation to reflect changes and ensure accurate written and verbal communication is maintained with key stakeholders - Provide clinical advice to team members and act as a clinical resource for elective surgery to other multidisciplinary team members - Provide clerical and administrative services for the management of elective surgery waiting lists and theatre bookings, including assisting with clerical and clinical auditing on processes to ensure accurate record keeping is maintained - Liaise with relevant nursing staff and medical staff on administrative matters concerning the planning and booking of theatre lists to ensure appropriate theatre utilisation - Identifying areas of improvement, discussing with peers and seeking avenues to address - Support the hospital’s commitment to quality improvement and achievement of National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards (NSQHS) accreditation - Handle enquires with a friendly and professional manner **About us**: Brisbane Private Hospital is a 181 bed facility, which provides expert care in fields such as, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastics, urology, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, drug and alcohol and rehabilitation. The hospital is centrally located on the fringe of the CBD with excellent public transport access. **Essential criteria**: - Current Registration with AHPRA - Minimum 5 years Perioperative Nursing experience - strong knowledge in ortho and Neuro surgical cases - Highly developed interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work in multidisciplinary work environments - Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) - Webpas Hospital System experience is an advantage - Flexible roster to suit - Monday to Friday business hours, permanent/part time or 9-day fortnight - Proven ability to work under pressure and maintain good working relationships with others - Strong customer service skills to effectively engage internal stakeholders and team members - Work well independently and within a team **Remuneration**:If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope-Queensland-Nurses Enterprise Agreement 2021 (salaries range between $33.84-$37.23/hr for Enrolled Nurses and $37.11 - $49.57/hr for Registered Nurses) **Why Healthscope?** When you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care.
