The Mansfield Hotel is in the heart of the Victorian High County approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne CBD located close to Mount Buller, Lake Eildon, hiking, mountain bike riding, fishing and camping. It is a family owned venue with a strong focus on a great culture for it’s employees. We aim to exceed guest expectations by providing high quality service and food with a focus on local produce.

The restaurant seats 150 inside, with an additional 150 seats in the outdoor courtyard. There are two function rooms, a bar and accommodation available.

We are open for lunch and dinner 7 days per week and run events in our additional rooms.

About the Role:
The hotel is currently looking for a Bar Manager who is both passionate and knowledgeable.

You will support management, working closely with the hotel owners and the kitchen & restaurant team to ensure a quality product and a superior guest experience.

This position will be key in training our team on wine, cocktails and beer knowledge whilst also bringing new ideas to the table.

As we are looking for someone to start immediately and we are able to offer hotel accommodation to support a transition to Mansfield.

About you:
Your personable nature and calm demeanour will always be on display. You will have:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Motivated and hands on
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop your team

Your duties will include:

- Customer service to encourage return visitation, nurturing relationships with our locals and regular customers
- Management of bar staff, including recruiting, training, scheduling and performance
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines
- Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.
- Managing costs and the profitability of the bar
- Handling complaints
- Ensuring the set up of the bar to high standards
- Attentive to patrons needs
- Till operation and cash handling
- Maintain excellent grooming standards
- Adhere to company policies

Skills and Experience:

- Unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Minimum of one year's experience in a similar role
- Strong attention and an eye for detail
- Passion for great customer service and training others
- An enthusiastic team player with a personable nature
- Strong leadership skills
- The ability to remain calm and can work well under pressure

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
