**The Principal Program Officer's key responsibilities are**:

- Coordinate the effective utilisation of information, data and systems by investigating performance reporting, systems and data quality issues and causes and recommend solutions, as part of the corporate reporting program of work.
- Provide high quality statistically based business advice and assist in developing and scoping statistically based business models and predictive planning (i.e. program logic models, baseline data and methodology) in a timely manner.
- Assist in coordinating and preparing reports and provide timely, well researched briefings to a variety of audiences including senior management.
- Engaging relevant business areas to provide input, advice and guidance on the development of data related projects that impact their staff or clients.
- Excellent interpersonal manner, with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and manage risks and benefits in relation to particular projects.

Role specific/technical skills
- You have practical experience with statistical software packages (R/Python or similar).
- You have a working knowledge, or the ability to acquire knowledge, of the key components of the child protection and family support system as they relate to data collection and reporting.
- You can perform statistical analyses using scripts, as well as intersect existing data files for analyses, undertake multivariate statistical analyses, and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and policies.
- a statement not more than two pages, that summarises your skills, experience and achievements against the leadership competencies/capabilities and duties/responsibilities
- a current resume containing details of 2 referees. At least one referee should have a thorough knowledge of your work over the past two years as your manager or supervisor
