Store Manager

Aquabumps Gallery, located at the iconic Bondi Beach, is a 26-year-old, family-run business that captures the beauty of coastal life through the breathtaking photography of Eugene Tan.

We seek a motivated, experienced Store Manager to lead our 7-day-a-week Bondi Beach gallery. This role is perfect for someone who loves art, lives for the beach, values exceptional customer experiences, and thrives in a dynamic retail environment.

**Key Responsibilities**
- 1. Store Operations _
- Manage the gallery's day-to-day operations, ensuring it runs efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain the gallery's presentation, creating a warm and inviting environment that reflects the Aquabumps brand.
- Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling, reporting, and compliance.
- 2. Sales and Customer Experience _
- Lead by example to provide exceptional customer service, offering personalised art consultations.
- Drive sales through product knowledge and storytelling, connecting customers with the Aquabumps vision.
- Build lasting relationships with clients, including locals, visitors, and international customers.
- Maintain and grow the 5-star google review the brand has become known for
- Oversee and manage customer queries to achieve mutually beneficial resolutions for both the customer and the business.
- 3. Production _
- Work with the production team to ensure clients’ orders are processed correctly, on time and budget.
- Oversee quality control of all artworks being created
- Oversee the ordering of supplies and consumable materials
- Monitor and manage wastage levels
- 4. Team Leadership _
- Recruit, train, and manage a passionate team, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
- Set clear goals and provide ongoing coaching to ensure team members excel in their roles.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Coordinate fortnightly team meetings
- 5. Inventory and Merchandising _
- Oversee inventory levels, ensuring the gallery is well-stocked with key pieces and collections.
- Collaborate with the creative team to arrange and display artwork to optimise customer engagement.
- Coordinate new deliveries and manage stock rotation effectively.
- Report on stock suggestions and sell through rates
- 6. Marketing and Events _
- Support marketing initiatives, including social media and in-store promotions, to attract and retain customers.
- Assist in planning and executing gallery events, exhibitions, and partnerships.
- Assist and oversee in maintaining the website’s product catalogue, freight calculations and inventory online.

**Skills and Experience**
- Proven experience in retail or gallery management, ideally within the art, design, or luxury retail sectors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving sales and team performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Passion for art, photography, and coastal lifestyle, with the ability to tell compelling stories about the works.
- Strong organisational skills, including experience with inventory management and operational procedures.
- Proficiency in POS systems, Microsoft Office, and basic financial reporting.
- Experience in eCommerce and selling online
- Manage independently to lead the team effectively on a daily basis.
- Proven customer conflict resolution is highly regarded

**How to Apply**:
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
