Complex Neurological Care for Female in Dandenong North

Looking for a female who is patient and understanding to provide care for a female with complex health and disability needs.

The role would suit someone who is attentive to the needs of others, skilled at interpersonal communication and works collaboratively with team members. Someone who actively listens and appreciates diverse cognitive styles would be a great addition to the care team.

Care will include the following:

- Seizure Management including oxygen administration per management plan if needed.
- Administering medication (GTN) during seizures for oesophageal spasms
- Pressure Care and Skin Integrity checks
- Fluid Management per management plan
- Assistance with ADLs as required
- Light household tasks
- Laundry
- Meal Prep
- Prompting for Webster packed medications and subcutaneous injections
- Prompting for eating and drinking

Knowledge of neurological, respiratory, cardiac and sensory processing disorders would be beneficial.

The care recipient has interests in cooking, gardening and anything creative.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: From $73.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
