Bloom Disability Network is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable Disability Support Worker to join our team in Wollongong, supporting a young patient with a disability. The successful applicant MUST have experience in PEG feeding.

**About the role**:
The patient has been diagnosed with Gabriele de Vries syndrome which results in the lack of ability to mobilise, and struggles to drink orally so is fed through a PEG. Support will include:
Assistance with daily living

PEG/solids feeding

Implementing therapy exercises

Attending therapy appointments/Assisting in sessions
**Days/Times of Shifts**:
Monday: 8.30am - 12.30pm
Thursday: 8.30am - 4.30pm
Friday: 8.30am - 4.30pm
**About you**:
Cert III - IV in Disability and/or equivalent experience
First Aid
Experience and/or training in PEG feeding
WWCC
National Police Clearance

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $34.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates

COVID-19 considerations:
Must be double vaccinated, must wear a mask

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Wollongong NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
- Driver Licence (required)
