**ABOUT THE ROLE AND CLIENT**
Our client is a Queensland Local Government agency based in Brisbane’s Southside. They are currently seeking an Environmental Health Officer. This role is a short-term opportunity which will see you joining the Health, Environment and Waste Branch, contributing to delivering an innovative, prosperous, clean, and green city through environmental services.

**ROLE RESPONSIBILITY**
- Manage an allocated licensing, inspection, and investigation case load, ensuring all activities are delivered in line with policies, legislation and agreed time
- Investigate and respond to complaints, customer requests and incidents
- Develop reports and other correspondence relating to licensing and complain investigation, ensuring document details are correct and delivered to required standards
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of change of continuous improvement projects such as policy, process, or legislative changes
- Work with senior officers and coordinators to agree on performance standards
- Undertake any ad hoc duties required that are reasonably within your limits

**ROLE REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant degree qualification in the Environmental Health field that is recognized for eligibility of Membership of Environmental Health Australia required
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communications skills, including the ability to explain relevant processes clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated ability to research, analyse or investigate issues and write concise professional reports and correspondence
- Incumbent of this position is identified as a person working in an “at risk location”/ is an “at risk” worker. Compulsory that incumbent be protected by relevant immunisation in accordance with Council’s Staff Immunisation Management Directive.
