**About Us**
**Investment and Technology** is a Group within the Department of Transport and Planning, and is responsible for providing investment strategy and to deliver commercial and information technology services to drive high performance and improved commercial outcomes for the State.
**About the Role**
As a key member of the Leasing and Land Management team, The Property Manager assists with ensuring that the Departments land and property portfolio is managed in-line with broader DTP and Government objectives with a focus to increase the utilsiation of land and faciliate access to required land for Big Build projets. A complex portfolio of varied property assets, the role will ensure compliance with high level policies and legislative requirements to ensure this strategically significant resource effectively supports DTP's service delivery.
The Property Manager will also assist the wider Land and Property Group functions, and be required to assist in managing key property agreements across a diverse portoflio including service centres, advertising and telecommunciation agreements.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Assist with providing timely and sound advice on a broad range of complex property and land management related issues and topics to internal and external stakeholders.
- Exercise professional judgement in managing an outsourced real estate services provider, including legislative and policy requirements, critical date management, procurement, stakeholder engagement and the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Assist with developing, implementing and maintaining efficient project administration systems including document tracking, control and proactively create and implement new systems to streamline processes as required.
- Promote and support safe, inclusive, and flexible team operations.
You are an accomplished individual with strong interpersonal skills who possess resilience, being open to new ideas and approaches, offering their opinions, asking questions and making suggestions while maintaining discipline in keeping to planned or assigned. You will be self-aware, able to understand the impact of your emotional responses on self and others and assess personal strengths and weaknesses using feedback from team members. Working collaboratively, you will build a supportive and cooperative team environment, engage other teams to share information, and support others in challenging situations.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
**Desirable**
- A relevant tertiary qualification in fields related to Property and Project Management would be desirable
- Relevant experience in a similar role including knowledge of the framework of the Victorian Government Land Transaction Policy and the Residential Tenancies Act 1997
- Demonstrated experience in managing a large and diverse property/asset portfolio
