**Job Title: Digital Infrastructure Specialist**

Contract: Initial 2 years' contract with possible extensions

Location: Meadowbrook (Logan) Brisbane

**Summary**

Our Queensland Government client is seeking **3 Digital Infrastructure Specialists** for their Logan Hospital Expansion Program. In these roles, you will provide expert knowledge advice and guidance to ensure the capital expansion program delivers the most possible benefit. Digital infrastructure focused.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Proactively manage and facilitate the design and implementation of digital infrastructure necessary to achieve successful completion of the capital expansion program.
- Ensure that all digital infrastructure meets requirements and is delivered in accordance with policy, laws, industry standards, best practice.
- Identify risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure key project deliverables are achieved and the overall integrity of the project/s are maintained.
- Provide expertise and advice to the Digital Program Director and other project team members.
- Scrutinise all digital infrastructure aspects of the designs, implementation and commissioning proposals received from commercial partners/contractors and subcontractors for appropriateness in accordance with the Project Deeds.
- Develop documentation as required under the Project Deeds and maintain accurate record management systems to ensure integrity and auditability.
- Support the Digital Program Director in the resolution of changes, issues and disputes, including management of the input from advisors.
- Provide specialist support to the project team in relation to developing and reviewing project documentation and correspondence, to ensure legal and technical positions are acceptable to the State.
- Provide input into the preparation of timely and high-quality briefs, reports, business cases and advice, including those required by the Digital Program Director.
- Build and maintain strong relationships between all stakeholders in the program to ensure positive working partnerships focussed on delivering the Programs objectives.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

**Main Requirements**
- Along with some project management responsibilities the role will predominantly act as a technical Subject Mater Expert (SME) for one or more of the following digital domains with the associated responsibilities:

- Core facility infrastructure - inform the design and commissioning of communications rooms, structured cabling, antenna systems, etc, to support the expansion.
- Wired and wireless communication networks - inform the design and commissioning of the digital network and the establishment of connectivity with external organisations and telecommunications providers. Gather and provide user and device information to enable the low-level configuration of the digital network and systems.
- Telephony and Messaging - inform the design and commissioning of telephony and messaging solutions to support the project including wired and wireless handset devices.
- End user computing (EUC) - inform the procurement/transition and installation of computers, printers and other end user devices for the project including profiling and software deployment / configuration.
- Servers and storage - inform the provisioning of server and storage capacity required to support the project.
- Audio Visual - inform the design and commissioning of audio visual solutions required to support the project.
- Facility systems - inform the design and commissioning of facility systems including nurse call, patient entertainment, location services, check-in systems, digital wayfinding etc. and their integration with State-wide systems and the telephony and messaging platforms (MIE) required to support the project.
- Engineering systems - inform the design and commissioning of engineering systems including BMS, Access Control, Security, etc required to support the project.
- Major medical and biomedial systems - inform the design and commissioning of biomedical systems required to support the project.
- Quality & testing - coordinate the testing, reporting, change management and documentation of the digital components of the LHEP.
