We are seeking an experienced **Environmental Advisor** to join our expanding and successful Rail & Technology Systems team which covers power, substations, and rail track work, along with signalling design, communications systems, and commissioning to provide full rail systems turnkey solutions.

Based in our Rivervale (Perth) office, the Environmental Advisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining Environmental Management Plans, associated procedures and records on environmental management to meet the client’s and project requirements. The role will report into the project management team and will be required to travel to our project site locations around Perth.

Other key responsibilities of this role include:

- Provide environmental training and inductions on relevant environmental issues to UGL staff and subcontractors
- Technically support weed inspections and washdowns of UGL and subcontractor plant and equipment as required by the client and legislation
- Assist with management of environmental permits, licenses, and compliance management.
- Manage identification and disposal of acid sulfate soils, as required
- Ensure all flora, native vegetation and clearing is managed in accordance with permits and approved procedures

To be considered for this role you will be required to demonstrate:

- Degree qualifications in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or an equivalent approved qualification
- Previous Environmental Advisory experience in a construction environment
- Working knowledge of relevant Federal and State environmental legislation
- Familiarity with National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER)
- Database, Auditing, Word Processing and Spreadsheet skills
