Bluefin Resources are working with a prestigious government enterprise to recruit an experienced Enterprise Data Steward.

**The opportunity**

We have an exciting opening for a Enterprise Data Steward to join our Advanced Analytics and Insights team. This position is a permanent full time based at Macquarie Park with flexible work options available.

The primary purpose of the role is to support and enable divisions across the cluster to plan and implement frameworks and processes related to data governance and management.

This is a critical role that demonstrates the industry leading direction with which will leverage data as an asset for customer and community outcomes.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Support the Business Divisions / Branch (Spoke) and project teams with SME input and advisory for consistent implementation of Data Governance and Management Framework across the cluster.
- Work with leadership to identify data domains and domain leads, owners and stewards to assists in the development and delivery of appropriate data governance and management enablement across the cluster.
- Facilitate sharing and adoption of data governance and management best practices through governance forums and committees within the division/branch.
- Work to define classification of data and critical data elements in area of domain and division with data owner and ensure that they know how to treat each element
- Work with data owners and stewards to help them understand and implement / embed enterprise data governance and management frameworks and processes.
- Work with data stewards to educate on requirements for enterprise data glossary and data management and facilitate collaboration with relevant working groups and stakeholders to agree on definitions.
- Create awareness and facilitate adoption of the Enterprise governance platform across the cluster. Partner with data governance and management colleagues to catalogue all data assets and associated metadata across the cluster

**About you**:

- Demonstrated experience in implementing Data Governance and Data Management including exposure to data governance tools such as Collibra.
- Strong business communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and strong communication skills.
- Natural influencer and negotiator.
- Delivery and outcome focused using agile project management practices
