**The Role**
The Operations Manager (EL 1) is a critical appointment within the Joint Proof and Experimental Unit. It is focused on the control and coordination of human, physical and financial resources required for the safe conduct of guided weapon and explosive ordnance test. Key tasks include:
- Oversee the operational practices and procedures for JPEU.
- Manage all resources to support guided weapon and explosive ordnance test.
- Provide technical and operational advice to OCs and COs, stakeholders, peers and subordinates.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of techniques, procedures and methodologies for guided weapons and explosive ordnance testing.
**About our Team**
The Operations Team are the lead strategic planning team within the Joint Proof and Experimental Unit. The Team plans guided weapon and explosive ordnance test activities to achieve a wide array of Defence outcomes.
JPEU is looking for an agile and enthusiastic individual who possesses strong technical, operations and leadership skills and a commitment to achieving organisational goals and objectives. Importantly, they will have the ability to develop good relationships and support networks across a wide array of stakeholders.
