Netball SA is responsible for the governance, development, promotion, and administration of netball throughout South Australia and has the responsibility for servicing its 32,000 members, the operations of Netball SA Stadium and the running of its elite team, the Adelaide Thunderbirds.

Due to continued successes, Netball SA have an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager - Commercial to join their team, based in Mile End. This is a permanent full-time role, that will require regular work outside of normal office hours, including weekends in accordance with Netball SA and Adelaide Thunderbirds programs. Interstate and intrastate travel may also be required on occasion.

**What you will be doing and will be responsible for**:
Reporting to the CEO, this role will form part of the Executive Leadership Team and will be responsible for the strategic leadership and operational performance in the areas of commercial partnerships and revenue growth.

The position will also have 2 roles reporting to them including the Commercial Manager and Partnership Coordinator.

**Key Responsibilities and Success Areas include**:

- Attraction and retention of commercial revenue
- Managing the processes and people responsible for commercial partnerships and sponsorships
- Leading the team to ensure KPIs, KBIs and strategic objectives are achieved
- Diversifying and increasing independent revenue streams
- Sponsorship strategy execution lifting investment and value
- Partnership cultivation and management
- Management and financial reporting

**‘What you look like’ and need to demonstrate to be successful’.**

To be successful in the role you will also demonstrate:

- Demonstrated leadership experience within commercial and/or sponsorship management
- Tertiary qualification in business or similar - or equivalent industry experience
- Strong sales skills and proven success in meeting KPI’s and targets
- Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership skills with proven success in planning, implementing, and delivering commercial outcomes in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial resources and deliver budgets
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes with deadlines
- Working with Children Check
- Current Australian Drivers licence
