DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Pre-job responsibilities may include assisting in ‘scope of work development’, ordering parts, supplies, and equipment specific to the job requirements, initial client contact, travel arrangements to jobsite, undertake safety trainings and inductions specific to internal and client’s requirements.- On site duties can include, tool preparation and validation, tool launching, data
- collection, tool receiving, data verification, site documentation/assessment, performing equipment repairs and troubleshooting (as needed), project supervising and attending operator's meetings. Other duties include writing field reports on activities completed, administrative reporting, hold and coordinate safety meetings, safety permits, maintain cleanliness and operability of inspection equipment while also keeping inspection equipment secure. Additional duties may be assigned based on the service line that the technician is supporting. All duties accomplished whilst also representing the company in a professional manner.- Post-job responsibilities will include travel arrangements, equipment maintenance and inventory check, Final Reporting, analysis and processing of log data as well as various administration requirements such as time and expense documentation.- Operating Quest Integrity’s specialized non-destructive testing equipment and proprietary software for data analysis.- Equipment maintenance and general shop/ job site upkeep.- Perform all necessary training (classroom-based, OJT and self-paced) to be a certified tool operator within the established time frame.- Is committed to create a safe working environment for herself/himself and her/his coworkers safety awareness is priority one.- Make safety a top priority at all times as it relates to you, all colleagues, and our clients’ personnel.- Maintain firm commitment to Quest Integrity’s Core Values and Guiding Principles.- Performance of other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing to travel extensively, often on short notice for durations of a few days to several weeks.- Must be able to perform shift work working either night or day shifts, week-ends, and often days of up to 16 hours. Work can be irregular with gaps of several days or potentially weeks between assignments.-
- Must be able to comprehend mapping programs and to navigate from GPS information to locations.- Ability to teach / impart technical and administrative skills to Junior Technicians / Assistants.- Detail oriented with a dedication to the quality control and quality assurance process.- Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work.- Ability to communicate and cooperate with diverse groups of people.- Must be client focused, have an excellent attention to detail and a strong ability to work together in a team environment.- Requires excellent ability to represent the company in a professional manner with regard to communicating and interfacing with clients and capable of maintaining confidentiality.- Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.- Courteous and respectful in all communications with team members and clients.- Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver within a refinery, plant or rig environment to include the ability to gain access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.- Comfortable with Drive/Fly in - Drive/Fly out lifestyle.- Should possess some or all of the following skills and or abilities.- Use of GPS equipment for the purpose of general navigation.-
- Should possess as many as practical or be able to qualify for training of all operator qualifications deemed related to the assigned duties.- Maintain a current Australian Passport and Driver’s License for obtaining Visas, Work permits and rental vehicles for travel.- Must possess reasonable credit for the purpose of booking hotels, rent cars and occasionally airline tickets which are all reimbursable by the company during regularly scheduled expense remittals.
Working Conditions:
Involves field service work within petro/chemical, utility environment, well sites, pipeline rightof
- way, and various remote facilities. Wear complete safety gear at all times. Long hours while in the field (7 days a week at 12 -16 hours a day). Extreme weather and driving conditions. Able to lift up to 34 kilograms. Extensive travel (upwards of 80%), both domestically and internationally.
