**Salary range $113,448 - $131,517 plus super**

**About You**:
As a Portfolio Optimisation Analyst, you'll be the mastermind behind our assets, using your data science and optimisation skills to support our business decisions and strategies. We are looking for the following skills/experience:

- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in working on and debugging complex models.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics at a range of levels.
- Ability to work in a complex, collaborative, and ambiguous environment.
- Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated experience with data/statistic tools in Python as well as strong software development skills, particularly in Python, are strongly desired
- Strong software development skills particularly with Python as well as experience in data science/statistics tools in Python
- Experience with Git/GitHub workflow as well as MATLAB and/or C++ is highly desired

**About the role**:
In this role, you will develop, maintain, and operate tools to inform Hydro Tasmania’s decisions on timescales ranging from days to decades. You’ll work with our suite of stochastic system models to optimise our hydrogeneration system and answer key questions. Utilizing Python or MATLAB, you'll conduct complex modelling and in-depth data analysis to inform our generation strategy while minimising our environmental impact. You will develop robust data pipelines to streamline and automate our modelling work where needed.

Success in this role will involve developing reports and presentations that are highly visual, easy to understand and inform and influence decision making for a variety of stakeholders across the business. You’ll have the opportunity to dive into engaging projects, collaborate with a forward-thinking team, and play a key role in shaping a greener Australia
