**_About the Role_**
Contract Resources has a great opportunity for an experienced Superintendent with mechanical experience to join our team at a Geelong, VIC refinery. The Superintendent is the focal point for accountability, authority and decision-making associated with the delivery of all project scope.

**_Key Role Responsibilities:_**
- Implement operational protocols and procedures - adapt to changes and support and implement these changes
- Project inception - review schedules and scope and ensure scope of whole project is communicated and what part each team plays in that project
- Delegate tasks effectively and follow up to ensure tasks are carried out as per instruction
- Provide leadership in all aspects of Health, Safety & Environment management to drive continuous improvement for the achievement of Zero Harm to all employees & environment
- Report to Client block lead and work alongside schedulers, integrity and process leads, operations and HSE team
- Allocate resources daily during execution as and when schedule dictates
- Reviewing work packs, checking content and approve before they go to QA
- Review and approve JHA’s
- Reporting and daily updates to key stakeholders
- Ensure project performance reviews are conducted and completed before completion of the project and communicated to HR
- Maintain effective relationships with clients and other key external stakeholders
- Be in regular correspondence with Asset Team & Operations Manager regarding equipment mob/demob, defects, etc
- Motivate your team in a positive manner to achieve targets
- Deal promptly with project issues and escalate as required
- Encourage BBO’s Stop Work Authority, participate and carry out audits
- Assist in sales, estimating tendering processes
- Ensure timesheets are completed daily and include all equipment and consumables as per contract

**_Required Experience / Qualifications_**
- Project Management qualification
- Trade or certificate qualification
- Significant Oil & Gas industry knowledge
- Mechanical Experience required
- Equipment, operations and systems knowledge
- HSE knowledge including legislated responsibilities and principles
- Relationship management - partnering with internal and external ‘Key Relationship’ nominees
- Quality Management Principles
- Industrial Relations
- Effective communication skills
- Microsoft Office - Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (intermediate)
- Technical acumen
