Operational Risk Manager, Australia

**Responsibilities**:
Primary Objectives
- Acts as Local Head of Operational Risk Management (ORM) for Société Générale Australia entities.
- Main responsibilities encompass Operational Risk Management (including operational incidents management, Risk & Control Self-Assessment, processes & controls review and checks), Crisis and Business Continuity coordination, Oversight of outsourced and offshored services.
- Provides support to Local Management and Regional Operational Risk Management team on above activities and in planned and ad hoc projects assigned.

Major Accountabilities and Responsibility
- Incident management: Coordinate the incident reporting in the dedicated tools, ensure timely reporting with accurate data, take the lead on incident investigation ensuring adequate remediation plans are defined and tracked to resolution.
- Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA): Perform annual RCSA assessment for identified Business Units / Support Units and support regional teams for RCSA performed centrally.
- Permanent control: Act as local Control & Operational Risk Officer, ensuring proper implementation and monitoring of 1st Line of Defense permanent control framework.
- Cyber Security: Ensure implementation of regional / global standards on Data & Cyber Security (DCS) and ensure timely feedback is provided to the regional DCS team on upcoming regulatory requirements.
- Outsourced services: Act as a relay, coordinating the deployment of new framework on Outsourced Services as well as operational monitoring campaigns. Assist local managers in complying with the required end to end lifecycle OS monitoring. Act as Risk Expert to assess specific categories of risks.
- Business Continuity Management (BCM): As local BCM manager, assisting Departments in devising effective recovery procedures and ensuring implementation of agreed recovery strategy for minimum disruption to business. Coordinates annual testing plan execution and crisis management exercise.
- Local governance: Organize and lead Operational Risk Committee, Outsourcing Committee, Business Continuity Management Committee in line with terms of reference defined.
- Training and Awareness: Define the required local and transversal training needs related to operational risk and control environment, including new joiner training and trainings to all staff. Monitor timely completion of mandatory E-Learning, organize periodical communication on Operational Risk guidelines and best practices.
- Transversal activities: Ensure audit recommendations are closed on time with appropriate action plans and controls in place. Ensure coordination and change management for the implementation of new operational risks systems and policies. Contribute to regional /global Operational Risk or local transformation project.

**Profile required**:
Qualifications, experience & knowledge required
- Solid knowledge of Operational Risk Management and Internal Control.
- At least 8-10 years’ experience in corporate & investment banking, financial institutions, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment.

- Fluent English writing, reading & speaking skills.
- Experience of working (including remotely) with people with diverse, international backgrounds
