Key Worker
Early Childhood Supports is a new division within ORS. ECS purpose is to provide high-quality, evidence-informed support to children under 7 years old (increasing to 9 in line with the NDIS ECEI reset) and their families.
**Work Life Balance**
The ORS executive team really believes in the benefits of a healthy work life balance. Many of us have families and lead busy lives outside of work so we know how important it is for our staff to maintain a balanced lifestyle. For this reason we:
- Provide the resources for our staff to be able to work from home
- Aim to allocate clients close to your home
- Give you ownership of your own calendar so you can book appointments to suit your schedule
- Provide suburban office locations with free onsite and local parking
- Give you the ability to work part time or reduced hours
**As an Early Childhood Supports Key Worker your duties will include**:
- Working with families and children to develop and prioritise their goals using a routines-based approach
- Providing support to families that reflects a strengths-based and family-centred approach with a focus on improving the child and family quality of life
- Providing evidence-based support to address children’s goals across all areas of development e.g. communication, play, mobility, feeding, self-care activities, sensory processing, relationships with peers, feelings and behaviours, problem-solving and learning
- Working to develop the capacity of the adults supporting the child
- Coordinating support required from other disciplines. This could look like a quick question for another therapist, a joint visit with a consulting therapist, a therapy block with another therapist to address that specialist area or a referral to another division for ongoing support.
- Supporting the inclusion and participation of children within their families and communities
- Providing consultative support to other Key Workers specific to your discipline/ background
