**About the Role**

The Manager, Operational Resilience influences and drives initiatives to ensure TZV can maintain availability and continuity of service during surge events and incidents, and to uplift the resilience capabilities across the organisation, with a focus on Operations, including managing the operational incident management process across TZV and within the emergency sector.

The goal of the function is to provide key and active participation to the Emergency Communications Services (ECS) team delivering enterprise-wide resilience, planning, exercising, deployment, operational policy governance and emergency management services.

Day to day responsibilities include:

- Develop, implement, and evaluate emergency management, operational procedures, and business continuity management program.
- Accountable and responsible for operational resilience and business continuity capability (redundancy/contingency arrangements) and preparedness.
- Continuously review and improve operational policies, programs, and projects to improve TZV capability to respond to incidents and emergencies.
- Accountable for the doctrine as it relates to TZV external deployments and assist with the overall management of available rosters associated with those deployments.
- Design and execute operational exercises including the analysis and formulation of recommendations to influence and drive continuous improvement throughout the business.
- Represent TZV by participating in sector wide working groups (as applicable) and exercises.

**About You**
- Proven ability to conceptualise, develop and articulate appropriate solutions and to specify functional and non-technical requirements that are well accepted by stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and define business needs in a clear way to internal and external service providers to ensure accountability for the effective operation of a service.
- An understanding of emergency services, communications centres, emergency management, telecommunications, employee relations and relevant Government Policy ideal.
- A Diploma/Tertiary qualification in emergency management or related discipline and/or substantial experience in managing operational business continuity and/or doctrine with demonstratable outcomes.
- Experience within senior management positions, within a best practice customer service organisation or contact centre operations, with exposure to the areas of accountability.
