This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane
Montu is on a mission to lead clinical understanding and confidence in medicinal cannabis through evidence-based education. As a **Medical Associate**, you’ll play a key role in producing engaging and accurate educational content that empowers healthcare professionals across the country. Your work will contribute directly to the Saged Educational platform—our flagship hub for upskilling clinicians in this rapidly growing space.
This role suits someone with a solid medical affairs background and has the ability to translate complex evidence into practical, patient-focused education material.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging, evidence-based educational content for doctors, nurses, and pharmacists (e-learning modules, videos, articles, podcasts, webinars etc.)
- Collaborate with internal experts and external KOLs to ensure medical accuracy and relevance
- Review and update content to reflect current clinical practice and guidelines
- Engage with learners across webinars, workshops, online communities and events
- Provide scientific advice and review promotional/educational materials
- Contribute to clinical literature reviews, summaries, and internal knowledge sharing
- Support research design and local study execution
- Build and maintain relationships with KOLs and engage in industry forums and congresses
- Develop and maintain in depth knowledge of the Australian Medicinal Cannabis clinical landscape through study of the existing clinical literature and other information from relevant scientific societies meetings and conferences
- Summarise key clinical and scientific insights for internal use, including trends in diagnosis, treatment, and therapeutic focus areas
**Qualifications**
We’re looking for a medical affairs professional with a strong interest in clinical education and evidence-based communication.
You’ll bring scientific credibility, clear communication skills, and a collaborative approach to help deliver accurate, high-impact educational content for healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Advanced tertiary qualification in a scientific discipline (PharmD, MD, PhD preferred).
- 2-3 years of experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of drug development and clinical research.
- Prior experience developing educational content for healthcare professionals (highly regarded)
- Proven skills in medical writing
- Experience reviewing and approving promotional and educational materials
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Fluency in written and oral English, written and spoken communication
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality presentations (highly regarded)
- Strong knowledge of the Australian clinical landscape and a passion for lifelong learning
- High level of integrity, scientific accuracy, and compliance orientation
- Able to work autonomously and cross-functionally with impact
