**The Company**
Our client is an established leader in the packaging space, at the forefront of innovation the business are continuing to expand, developing state of the art facilities across Sydney. As such, this expansion has had a greater focus on ensuring operational excellence and driving efficiencies through new systems and developing a greater depth of understanding of their plant and equipment. This focus has developed a need for a Maintenance planner to join their team based in Horsley Park, NSW.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Site Manager you will be responsible for:

- Developing the structure of their Maintenance System.
- Planning weekly maintenance activities through the CMMS system.
- Driving maintenance improvements by implementing new systems and strategies.
- Preparing and project managing major plant shutdowns.
- Pro-actively engage with relevant stakeholders primarily being maintenance trades and production to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are carried out in full and in a timely manner.
- You will also be responsible for driving improvements in their long term maintenance plans and providing visibility of overall equipment effectiveness.

**Your Background**

In order to be successful in this role you will:

- Be a degree qualified engineer either mechanical or electrical, or come from a trades background.
- Have proven experience within a large and complex food, pharmaceutical or packaging manufacturing business as a maintenance planner.
- Have a proven background of implementing and managing a CMMS system - ideally Mex, SAP or Maximo.
- Proven experience developing a preventative maintenance environment.
