The Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC) is CSIRO’s national digital health research program, enabling the digital transformation of healthcare to improve services and clinical treatment for Australians and beyond.

We are actively seeking FHIR Test Lead to join the FHIR Accelerator team in the Australian e-Health Research Centre (AEHRC), working closely with the AEHRC team, along with other collaborators and stakeholders in the creation, development, management and support of open data exchange standards and capabilities to meet the current and future needs for Australia’s health system.

If you have the expertise in creating, standardising, and maintaining the FHIR testing framework for Australian FHIR standards supporting implementation and standardisation efforts for the safe and accurate exchange of digital health information across the health sector, then do not hesitate to apply. This role is a perfect amalgamation of testing and development skills. Working as part of the FHIR Accelerator team, this role’s primary focus will be the development of an AU Core FHIR standard and associated materials through a community-led process.

This opportunity comes with a high degree of flexibility in working arrangements from home and office and has the option to pick a city of your choice as limited travel will be required for this role and if you are looking for a sea change, CSIRO can support you with humble domestic relocation package for you and your family.

**Your duties will include**:

- Developing automation, environments, and processes to provide testing services to teams developing and deploying FHIR implementation guides, terminology and tools.
- Participating in high-level team activities such as suggesting testing service improvements, recommending process improvements, and conducting tool evaluations.
- Evaluating different technology options and products to solve business needs with technology.
- Technically produce and maintain FHIR test resources and test data
- Contributing to FHIR implementation guides, test suites, and tools.
- Providing input into proposed implementation approaches and providing support and guidance to implementers and projects on the implementation and deployment of standards.
- Supporting efforts to identify opportunities to increase the uptake and usage of open data exchange standards and capabilities to meet the current and future needs of Australia’s health system.
- Developing and maintaining support documentation and guidance including examples to clearly communicate complex technical material to our collaborators and customers.

**Location**:Open to any major cities in AU however preference will be Brisbane, else Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra.

**Salary**:AU$121k - AU$142k plus up to 15.4% superannuation

**To be considered you will need**:

- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience in IT.
- Demonstrated experience with test automation development including creation and management of test frameworks from scratch.
- Demonstrated experience developing various forms of software tests in any of the following: unit, functional, performance, or stress.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines as well as work cooperatively with others in a high-functioning team to meet team objectives.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong professional and collaborative working relationships.
