**_About the Role_**
A Security Technician carries out troubleshooting and service of installed equipment at client sites to ensure systems are maintained in the correct working order. These tasks are assigned by the Service Manager/ Coordinator and must be completed in the required time frames, to the required standard and in a manner which complies with the WHS Policies.
**Responsibilities**
- Attend client service requests as scheduled by the Service Manager/ Coordinator within the time required by the client’s Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Ensure correct use of electronic test equipment and tools and comply with Safe Operating Procedures & also where applicable work in line with the Safe work method statements that were issued upon commencement.
- Complete the required Risk Assessments/SWMS by the due date.
- Update job statuses in Ostendo to reflect progress - This enables the Service Manager/ Coordinator in scheduling work.
- Advise the Service Manager/ Coordinator as soon as possible if it is not possible to attend a site by the required due on-site time.
- Identify/diagnose the issue/s at the client’s site.
- Rectify the issue/s at the client’s site on the first visit.
- If the issue cannot be rectified on the initial attendance, the Service Manager/ Coordinator must be advised as to why and the technician must advise the required actions to be taken to complete the service request.
- Complete a Field Service Report for site attendances including Time on Site and Travel Time, prior to leaving each site.
- Complete and submit a Vehicle Inventory Checklist weekly to indicate stock that has been used at client stock attendances.
- Label all return parts with the job number and date prior to submission to the stock controller.
- Report issues, activities or safety concerns to your manager which may influence service delivery or customer relations in a timely manner. This includes providing information of changes at client sites and discrepancies for engineering drawings if required.
- Any other reasonable duties as directed by supervisor/manager.
**_About You - _**To be successful in this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Strong communication skills, organisational skills
- Strong knowledge of most commonly used security equipment
- Minimum four years related experience, working knowledge of all commonly used equipment
- Security Licence/COA (in accordance with relevant State/Federal legislative requirements)
- Valid industry licences
- Current driver’s license
- Cabling Registration certificate
