**About the role**

CatholicCare’s Permanency Support Program implements Intensive Therapeutic Care model of service to support children and young people in our care who have experienced trauma and neglect.

This position is Permanent Fulltime.

**Duties**
- Recruit carers in line with approved marketing campaigns;
- Conduct in-home information sessions and assessments of potential carers using proven assessment tools;
- Conduct annual carer reviews to ensure carers have an ongoing commitment to quality foster care and safeguarding
- Support carers in maintaining their ongoing authorisation by identifying needs, providing training opportunities and ensuring access to appropriate supports
- Maintain accurate and well-written reports and documentation;
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality, safeguarding and wellbeing

**Skills & experience**
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience working with children, young people or adults who have experienced complex trauma
- Sound knowledge of Intensive Therapeutic Care and child protection and support in NSW with previous DCJ experience highly regarded;
- Demonstrated ability to train, coach and provide support to others
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage and establish rapport with carers

Experience in Foster Carer Assessment and/or demonstrated experience in recruitment/selection and/or marketing will be highly regarded.
