**T**he **Position**
Provisional Fellow / Senior Registrar for a full-time (76hrs per fortnight). You will participate in the clinical service to the hospital including daily ward rounds, MDT meetings and actively participate in the Academic Program and work towards attaining a fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.

**The Location**
The area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. A coastal city in known for its stunning beaches, whale watching opportunities, and laid-back atmosphere. Situated approximately 290 kilometers north of Brisbane. The city is famous for its calm waters, making it an ideal spot for swimming, fishing, and water sports and has a vibrant arts and cultural scene, with galleries and museums showcasing local talent and history. With its beautiful beaches, natural wonders, and welcoming atmosphere.

**The Facility**
The facility provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities and is a
- 350 bed General Hospital
- 44 bed General Surgery Ward
- Dedicated ICU facility working at CSCF level 4/5
- 7 General Surgeons with a varied interest in Colorectal, Breast and Endocrine, and endoscopies.

**The Requirements**
- Have AHPRA Registration or Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Have appropriate training and experience applicable to General Surgery.
- Demonstrated commitment to high quality patient care.
- Demonstrated surgical competency
